Officer's Model double action revolver manufactured by Colt. Left side of barrel is stamped "*OFFICERS MODEL 38*" with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blue finish, 6" barrel, partridge front sight, as well as an adjustable rear sight. Frame is mounted with later 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. Frame has been reblued and barrel is a replacement. CONDITION: Frame and cylinder retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing some light edge wear. Barrel has been touched up in a few areas and shows thinning to brown patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks as well as a loss at the bottom of the rear grip strap, but are otherwise fine. MLW
