Lot consist of: (A) Fine Smith & Wesson safety hammerless double action revolver. 5th model gun made circa 1910's. Single line company address on the barrel rib. Caliber markings on the right side of the barrel. Company trademark on the right side of the frame. Matching serials on the butt, cylinder, barrel latch and right grip. Round, steel barrel with forged half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Five shot fluted cylinder. Factory blued finish on the metal components, with correct case colored trigger. Factory hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light handling marks. Some light brown patina in the top of the frame. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean overall with crisp rifling. Tight cylinder with good lockup. Mechanically fine. Hard to find in this condition! (B) Smith & Wesson .38 Double Action revolver. 5th model gun made 1909-1911. There is a "109" stamped on the butt, as some sort of inventory/rack number. Single line company address on the barrel rib. Caliber markings on the right side of the barrel. Company trademark on the right side of the frame. Matching serials on the butt, cylinder, barrel latch and right grip. Round, steel barrel with forged half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Five shot fluted cylinder. Factory nickel finish with the trigger guard correctly blued and the trigger/hammer case colored. Factory checkered hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder Good timing and lock up. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
