Lot consist of: (A) Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless double action revolver. 3rd model gun made circa 1910's. Five shot fluted cylinder. Standard markings on the barrel ridge, in addition to the left side of the barrel. Company trademark on the right side of the frame. Matching serials on the butt, cylinder and latch. Round, steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Metal components were nicely refinished at some point. Original checkered brown hard rubber grips with "S&W" monograms. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its re-applied finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore has a few minor pits near the chamber, but is otherwise clean. Strong rifling retained. Tight cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless double action revolver. 1st model gun made circa 1890's. Five shot fluted cylinder. Standard two line company address on the barrel ridge. Matching serials on the butt, cylinder and latch. Round, steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch rear. Factory nickel finish on the frame, cylinder and barrel. Trigger guard is correctly blued and the trigger case colored. Checkered black hard rubber grips with "S&W" monograms look to be original. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore is lightly frosted with a few minor pits near the muzzle. Tight hammer. Good timing and lock up. Mechanically fine. Hard to find in this condition! JWA
