Model 1886 lever action saddle ring carbine manufactured by Browning. Left side of barrel bears Browning's importer information above "MADE IN JAPAN" followed by ".45-70 GOVT" towards the breech. Right side bears stampings stipulating the model and caliber designations, with the top being stamped "1 OF 3000". The left side of the receiver is engraved with a full wildlife scene with 2 gold inlaid deer as well as the engravers signature "T.MOR". The right side of the receiver features a second full wildlife scene exhibiting 2 gold inlaid bears. Features include a blued 22" full round barrel, blade front sight, ladder rear sight, saddle ring, as well as a checkered walnut buttstock & firearm. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory applied finishes, exhibiting few superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Bolt face is excellent. Walnut furniture exhibits some light superficial marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine. A very attractive 1 of 3000 Browning Model 1886 saddle ring carbine. MLW
