Lot consists of (A) Official Police double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1931. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT OFFICIAL/POLICE .38" with Colt's 2-line address across the top. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Features include a blue finish, 6" barrel, half-moon front sight, as well as a frame notched rear sight. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion checkered wood grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of light wear on the muzzle and high edges that show through to silvering. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing and a few handling marks, but are otherwise fine. (B) U.S. Army Model 1917 manufactured by Colt under contract for the U.S. military. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT D.A. 45", with Colt's 2-line address across the top, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the bottom. Left side of frame bears a "JMG" inspection stamp, as well as the Rampant Colt logo. Features include a blade front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece smooth hardwood grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their original blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning through to patina overall. Bore is bright and exhibits fair rifling throughout. Grips show scattered handling marks and a sizeable indentation on the left panel, but are otherwise fine. MLW
