A composed pair of hammer guns A/Birmingham made and B/American made. A: 11 bore (12 muzzle ) was made circa mid 1800's with 32" Damascus steel barrels. proof marks on barrel bottoms indicate "11B over 12M", "IRON NOT FOR BALL". Barrels fit with extractor and wide concave smooth rib with round brass front bead sight. Barrels and rib are engraved with scrolls near breech. The once case colored floral engraved side lever hammer action is fit with double triggers. Walnut stock with repaired pistol grip, engraved steel grip cap, vacant shield and steel buttplate. Small checkered splinter forend with Anson styled push button release and ebony tip. B: 12 bore with 30" brown Damascus steel barrel narrow smooth concave rib is fit with a small steel round front bead sight. rib reads "AMERICAN ARMS CO. BOSTON". Barrels and action with interesting and unique push to slide opening mechanism. Action furnished with checkered hammers and double triggers. Action locks engraved "AM. ARMS Co. over BOSTON". Walnut stock with checkered round knob pistol grip and steel buttplate. Browned trigger guard to a 3/4 length bottom tang. Wide checkered splinter forend. CONDITION: A/B Fare. Both sets of barrels with faded colors, pitting and other handling marks. Actions and triggers are both sound. Stock on (A) has been repaired and with handling marks. Forend with handling marks fracture to tip. (B) Stock and forend with handling marks. CP
