German Walther ac 43 code P.38 semi automatic pistol. Made 1943 at the Walther factory. Proper "(eagle)/359" Waffenamts on the right side of the slide and left side of the slide. No import mark found. Matching serials on the frame, slide, barrel and barrel block. Blade front sight with u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Brown Bakelite grips. Correct blued steel magazine, with a proper "(eagle)/359" Waffenamt on the spine and marked "P.38" on the left side of the body. Includes an extra set of Bakelite grips, three blued steel magazines (one is marked with a (eagle)/359" Waffenamt, one is "jvd" marked, while the other is un-marked), a black leather "hard shell" holster and belt. Holster is marked "cww" on the back, with an "(eagle)/swastika/WaA392" and a "1943" date. "P.38" is also stamped on the back. Belt is "1942" dated and retains a "God With Us" (in German) marked belt buckle. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear and some gray patina forming in areas. Gun is covered in a heavy preservative grease. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. De-cocker works as it should. Extra grips are excellent. Extra magazines have light wear. Holster is very good overall with light wear. Tight stitching. Belt has heavy wear and is broken, being repaired some time later. JWA
