Standard configuration Type 94 semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the Chuo Kogyo arsenal in October of 1941. Right side of frame is stamped with the date code "16.10" above the Chuo Kogyo arsenal symbols, followed by the serial number. The left side bears kanji characters denoting the model designation. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the magazine which is mismatched. Pistol is accompanied by an original pigskin leather holster. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning showing through to dark patina, as well as areas of oxidation overall. Bright bore, exhibiting some spots of light oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks, as well as some nicks to the diamonds, but otherwise are sturdy and serviceable. Leather holster shows signs of age related wear, with areas of crazing, but otherwise retains good stitching throughout.
