Lot consists of (A) Model HSc manufactured by Mauser for the German military during World War II. Left side of slide bears the Mauser banner followed by stampings stipulating the manufacturer information as well as the model and caliber designations. Trigger web bears an eagle/WaA135 waffenamt on the left side with an eagle/N proof present on the right side. Eagle/N commercial proof is also present on the right side of the chamber and slide. Matching numbers are present on the frame and barrel, with the slide being electro-penciled to match. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Complete with an unmarked holster containing a Walther PP 7.65mm magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and some scattered handling marks. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show scattered impressions and handling marks all around, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. (B) Model 1910 manufactured by Mauser for commercial sales. Left side of slide bears manufacturer information, with the left side of the frame bearing the Mauser banner logo. Crown/U proofs are present on the right side of the slide and barrel. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, takedown lever, and barrel. CONDITION: Metal components show wear and thinning all around to gray and brown patinas. Poor bore, exhibiting oxidation and fair rifling throughout. Grips show heavy smoothing with scattered handling marks overall. PROVENANCE: Former Collection of Brigadier General Theodore C. Mataxis.
