Heinrich Mauser Bolt Action sporting rifle. Made circa 1920's and built on a military 98 action. Left side of the barrel is marked "HEINR.MUNCH", next to a large Bavarian eagle. Faint serial number on the right side of the stock. No import marks. Mismatched serial numbers. Round, steel barrel with a solid rib. Blade front sight with two position u-notch rear. Receiver has light engraving and claw mount bases. Double set triggers. Blued finish on the metal components. Wood has a light oil finish. Checkered wrist and capped pistol grip. Horn style butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with some wear and brown patina forming. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
