Lot consist of: (A) Winchester Model 1897 slide action shotgun. Made 1913. Standard company address and patent dates on the barrel. Matching serials on the barrel assembly and receiver. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Round, steel barrel with bead front sight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Wood stock and forearm with their original oil finish. Checkered hard rubber butt plate. Full choke bore, 2 - 9/16" chamber. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with some wear and light brown patina. Wood has handling marks, dings and scratches. Bore is clean overall, but has a few minor pits about 4" in from the muzzle. Mechanically fine. (B) Winchester Model 12 slide action shotgun. Made 1923. Standard company address and patent dates on the left side of the barrel. Matching serials on the barrel assembly and frame. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Round, steel barrel with bead front sight. Metal components have been re-blued. Wood stock and forearm have their original light oil finish. Butt stock has an added rubber butt pad. 2 - 9/16" chamber and a full choke bore. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its re-applied finish with light wear and handling marks. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Forearm is solid with no visible cracks. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. JWA
