Uncommon German "System Pachmayr" takedown Schuetzen rifle in 8.15x46R, made by "EMIL PACHMAYR". Barrel is marked on top "TRAUNSTEIN". Barrel is also marked "2811", "481", "2.30", "7.8mm", with the standard "BUG" proofs. The serial number "2811" is only visible on the barrel. No import marks. Takedown system functions properly. Octagonal blued matted barrel has the proper front sight, with the removeable post with wings sight insert. Insert has been stripped of its finished and blackened, possibly with some sort of "sight black". Barrel has the 11mm middle sight grooves. Target diopter sight with large disc is mounted on the rear tang, and is fully adjustable. Rifle has adjustable set triggers. High quality walnut stock has a large Tyrolean cheekpiece. Walnut forearm. Butt plate is of the standard Schuetzen style. CONDITION: Rifle is overall excellent and retains approximately 80-85% with light freckling and dried cosmoline. Stock has the usual light dings and scratches. Bore is bright, set triggers function properly, and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
