German "System Reform" Schuetzen rifle in 8.15x46R, marked "System Reform" on top of the block, "ESHA" on the trigger guard, and "C. HAGEMANN, MULTHOFT NACHT ALFELD/ LEINE" on the barrel. Barrel is also marked twice on barrel "BOHLER STAHL" indicating the barrel steel. Barrel is also marked "41201" (serial number), "461" (proof house serial number), "S.S" (barrel makers mark), "9/26" (date), "7.7mm" (caliber), with the standard "BUG" proofs. The serial number "41201" is on the barrel and a "201" is on the front of receiver, trigger guard, front trigger, forearm lug, and also likely on internal components. No import marks. Octagonal blued matted barrel has the proper front sight, with the removeable post with wings sight insert. Barrel has the 11mm middle sight grooves. Target diopter sight with large disc is mounted on the rear tang, and is fully adjustable. While the sight base fits snuggly the upper components are loose. Rifle has adjustable set triggers. Receiver, trigger guard, floorplate assembly, butt plate, and sight base have case hardening. High quality walnut stock has checkering on the grip area and a large Tyrolean cheekpiece. Walnut forearm. Butt plate is of the standard Schuetzen style. Sling swivels are mounted on the barrel and stock. CONDITION: Rifle is overall excellent and retains approximately 85-90% of its original blued finish, and 85-90% of its case hardening. Stock has very few light dings and scratches. Bore is bright, set triggers function properly, and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
