Circa 1920 (action). A sporterized .30-06 with a blacked 22 -1/2" barrel with crowned muzzle. Barrel is 1/2 engraved with scroll and receiver is fit with Bausch and Lomb bases and mounts. Early 4 power Balfor scope also made by Bausch and Lomb. Action bolt body is jeweled and fit with flag safe. Blacked steel floor plate is engraved with scrolls and has a gold stag head inlay. Action built with medium sized serrated trigger. Trigger guard is engraved with scroll and bow also with gold inlay of stag head. Straight grained stock with sharp checkered pistol hand grip and black plastic checkered grip cap. Stock with Monte Carlo styled cheekpiece. Stock and forend with sling swivel, leather sling and buttstock finished with White Line Junior brown ventilated rubber pad. Forend with 2 panel checkering and tip appears to be ebony. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains mostly all of its black with some light handling marks. Rifling is very good. Stock and forearm are very good with some handling marks from use and storage. Nice deer rifle. CP
