Lot consists of (A) German Occupation marked Pieper Bayard Model 1908 semi automatic pistol with holster. Made during the German occupation of Belgium during World War I. Byard logo on the left side of the frame. Faint Imperial proofs on the right side of the frame. No import marks found. Matching serials on the frame and slide. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Smooth oil finished wood grips. Original blued steel magazine. Includes a copy of a post-War importation document where the pistol is listed by serial number, and an unmarked shoulder holster. CONDITON: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear and some gray patina forming. Heavy grease on the internals. Grips have handling marks. Bore is clean overall with good rifling. Magazine has light finish wear. Mechanically fine. Holster has light finish wear. Stitching seems tight. (B) German Occupation marked Pieper Bayard Model 1908 semi automatic pistol with holster. Made during the German occupation of Belgium during World War One. Byard logo on the left side of the frame, behind company markings. Left side of the slide is marked "CAL. 7.65 MODELE DEPSOE", while the top is marked "BREVETTE S.G.D.G. PATNETED SEPT 8 1908". Faint Imperial proofs on the right side of the frame and slide. No import marks found. Matching serials on the frame and slide. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Safety lever is a replacement. Smooth oil finished wood grips. Original blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear and some gray patina. Heavy grease inside the gun. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically in-operable at the moment. Magazine has heavy finish wear. JWA
