English style Mauser Model 98 bolt action rifle with scope. Made circa 1930s in Germany. Barrel is marked "KRUPP-STAHL" on the top. German nitro commercial proofs present on the barrel, receiver, and bolt. Matching serials on the receiver and barrel. Round steel barrel with ramped blade front sight. English style 4 position express sight. Blued finishes on the metal components. Receiver has claw mount bases. Sanded wood stock with a capped pistol grip and checkering on the wrist. Incorrect Browning marked plastic butt plate. Includes attached Kerner & Sohn marked 4X scope with claw rings, and a generic leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with areas of wear and handling marks. Stock has handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Scope has some exterior wear, but retains a crisp post reticle. JWA
