Lot consist of: (A) Winchester Model 12 slide action shotgun. Made 1924. Typical markings on the left side of the barrel. Two line company address and patent dates on the right. Matching serials on the receiver and barrel assembly. Winchester proofs on the chamber and frame. Round, steel barrel with solid rib and bead front sight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock and ribbed forearm. Butt stock was lightly sanded at some point. Factory checkered plastic butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish, with the frame turning a heavy gray patina. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. (B) Winchester Model 12 slide action shotgun. Made 1942. Typical markings on the left side of the barrel. Matching serials on the receiver and barrel assembly. Round, steel barrel with vent rib and replacement bead front sight. Re-blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stock and ribbed forearm. Capped pistol grip and rubber butt pad have been added. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its re-applied finish with light wear. Wood has handling marks and scratches. There is a small repaired crack on the left side of the wrist, and on the toe. Bore is shiny. Mechanically fine. JWA
