Swiss Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 bolt action rifle. Made 1891 at the Bern factory. Typical Swiss proofs on the chamber. No import mark found. Matching serials on the barrel, receiver, rear sight and bolt. Magazine is not numbered. Blade front sight with standard rear ladder adjustable to 2,000 meters. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Stock has its original light oil finish. Smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Plastic bolt handle is chipped at the bottom. Stock has minor dings and scratches. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
