L.C.Smith "Field" Grade 410 Gauge side by side shotgun made by the Hunter Arms Company Fulton, New York in 1937. 26" blued Armor Steel barrels with raised matted solid rib with bead front sight and ejectors, 3" chambers and fixed "FULL" and "MOD" chokes. Case hardened Featherweight sidelock action with "L.C. Smith" marked sideplates, double triggers and automatic safety. One of 2509 Field Grade 410 gauge shotguns and one of 521 with ejectors. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with period "REDHEAD" pad. Matching checkered walnut splinter style forearm with roller latch release. CONDITION: Barrels are faded to 60% original blue with action faded to a silvery patina. Triggerguard has a plum appearance along with forearm iron. Wood has break at wrist with poor homemade repair with traces of varnish and semi-sharp checkering. Good bores with functioning mechanics. DLM
