3rd Model rifle manufactured circa 1887. Shortened 20" octagon barrel chambered in .44-40 with 2-line Winchester address and full length magazine tube. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear. Plain walnut forend and stock with trap rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Nearly all of the blued finish has turned to worn brown patina throughout metal components. Some older oxidation spots. Markings soft. Stocks show heavy use with dark appearance, impressions and some finish loss. Right side of forend missing sliver of wood, with small crack on left side. Dark shootable bore. Action cycles appropriately. BAS
