Burgess slide action shotgun made by the Burgess Gun Company, Buffalo, New York from 1892 to 1899. 28" damascus steel barrel with bead front sight and two thirds blued tubular magazine. Blued takedown frame with button to release barrels, action marked Burgess Gun Company /Buffalo N.Y. U.S.A. Distinctive iron sleeve fitted over wrist to work action with release button in triggerguard. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with Burgess hard rubber buttplate. Matching walnut checkered forearm. Hard gun to find especially with condition. CONDITION: 80% remaining damascus scene with 80% action blue with carry areas worn to a silvery patina. Excellent bore and mechanics. DLM
