Winchester Model 1895 lever action rifle. Made 1914. Nickel Steel barrel markings on the left side of the chamber, followed by ".30 ARMY". Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Two line company address/patent dates on the left side of the receiver. Round, steel barrel with pedestal blade front sight and Marble's buckhorn style u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Wood stock and forearm look to have their original oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with general wear in most areas. Wood has handling marks and scratches. A few deeper gouges on the left hand side. Forearm is solid with no visible cracks. Bore is heavily frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
