Model 1894 lever action saddle ring carbine chambered in .30 W.C.F. manufactured by Winchester in 1918. The left side of the barrel bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer information, "NICKEL STEEL BARREL" stamp, as well as the caliber designation. The receiver is stamped with a Winchester witness proof, which is also present on the top of the barrel towards the breech. Features include a blued 20" barrel, blade front sight, ladder rear sight, saddle ring, as well as a smooth wood buttstock and forearm. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered handling marks, as well as some wear, thinning, and cleaned areas of light oxidation, mostly concentrated on the right side of the receiver. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling lands and grooves throughout. Wood furniture exhibits some scattered handling marks overall as well as some impressions, but otherwise is sturdy and serviceable. A very nice example of a 103 year old Winchester Model 1894 saddle ring carbine. MLW
