Sharps Model 1868 conversion single shot breechloading carbine with 22" round barrel chambered in .50-70 Government with 3 groove rifling, folding ladder carbine rear sight, and blade front. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with single barrel band, staple with saddle ring, and carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Good, with with metal assemblies cleaned to a freckled light gray patina. Top tang of action has crack near serial number. Stock and forearm are very good as lightly sanded with finish added. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with well-defined rifling. TON
