This attractive rifle features an original octagon barrel with sights mounted on top flat. The contemporary lock is browned. The large pierced brass 4-piece patchbox has a convex lid and an eagle finial. The rifle has double set triggers and a total of 22 pieces of shaped inlaid silver. It is stocked in partially figured maple and has an attractive Roman nose profile. Complete with rope-burned wooden ramrod. CONDITION: Barrel retains a dark brown patina, some corrosion and repair at breech. Lock does not hold on cock or half-cock, needs adjustment. Brass retains a dark patina. Stock very good with a few scattered storage marks and thin long sliver replaced on left side towards muzzle. DMG
