German over-under rifle "Bockbuechsflinte" marked "Favorit, 28/ 5.6 x 35 on top of the serrated matted barrel. Other markings on the barrel are the serial number "23754", "U" proof, "Crown over S" for Suhl, "5.35" for date of proof, "KmG", etc. No import marks. Blued barrel has a flip-up rear sight and a front blade front sight. Receiver has case hardening with light engraving, trigger guard is blued, and rifle has dual triggers, safety, and breech unlocking lever. Walnut stock and forearm have grip checkering. Forearm is removed via a release lever. Hard black plastic butt plate and grip cap. CONDITION: Rifle is overall very good to excellent, and retains 80-85% of its blued finish, and retains 65-70% of its case hardening. Receiver has has some sort of varnish residue from what was used to treat the stock. Walnut stock has been sanded and refinished, while it appears the forearm was left untouched. Hard plastic butt plate, above the top screw, has a half inch square piece missing. Bore is bright and rifle is mechanically sound. WEZ
