1891 Vintage Winchester 3-band musket, serial number 371563B. 30-inch round barrel. Square block, blade front sight for mounting bayonet. Military style fold- down ladder rear sight. Chambered in .44-40 WCF cartridge. Full length plain walnut forearm and buttstock with carbine style steel buttplate. Sling provisions at middle barrel band and stock. CONDITION: Good with grey/brown patina overall. Wood is sound, showing moderate wear. Stock does not fit well around tang. Bore is good. Action operates smoothly. MKS
