1 of only 5,000 Samuel Colt Sesquicentennial Single Action Army revolvers manufactured by Colt. The left side of the barrel is stamped "1814 - COL. SAML COLT SESQUICENTENNIAL MODEL - 1964", with Colt's one line address across the top, and "COLT SIGNLE ACTION ARMY .45" on the right. The left side of the frame bears patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Cylinder is stamped "COL SAML COLT/ 1814 - 1964" and features light scroll engraving, along with the Rampant Colt, the Colt onion dome, as well as a Patterson revolver. Frame and barrel are blued, with the cylinder, hammer, trigger guard, and backstrap being nickeled. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt silver medallion smooth wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and cylinder, with the grips matching via a handwritten number on the interior of the panels. Revolver is accompanied by a "One of 5000" marked Sesquicentennial wood case containing an original hangtag, Colonel Samuel Colt coin, 12 inert nickeled .45 Colt rounds, an instruction manual, "The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt" book by R. L. Wilson, as well as the case key. CONDITION: Metal components retain virtually all of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting a few handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Case shows some external marks from handling and storage, but is otherwise fine. An extremely attractive Samuel Colt Sesquicentennial commemorative Single Action Army revolver. MLW
