Circa 1941. A 20 gauge. Two barrels (A) 26" and (B) 28". The 26" barrels have 2 - 3/4" chambers choked: Modified/Cylinder. Full length matted rib with twin brass mid and front beads. The 28" barrels have 2 - 3/4" chambers choked: Modified/Full. Full length matted rib with twin off white mid and front beads. This set has no top markings and while numbered to gun, probably are gunsmith added. Featherweight Frame with Double triggers, ejectors, automatic safety. Straight hand gripped buttstock with smooth grip with a 14 - 1/4" LOP over a factory type hard rubber buttplate. L.C. Smith Style checkered beavertail forearm with roller latch. The gun is accompanied by a period glazed canvas case. CONDITION: Good. Barrels retain 65-70% blue finish. Receiver retains 30-35% original case colors. Trigger guard retains 30-35% of its original blued finished and has been extended into an English style grip. Buttstock and forend retain with handling and storage marks throughout and are custom replacements. Checkering is sharp. Mechanics are good except on added barrels with left ejector sticking. Case is good. Use and storage marks with handling marks and damage. (CP)/DLM
