Manufactured circa 1859 by Colt in .36 caliber. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel with 1-line Hartford address, brass pin front sight, and hammer notch rear. 6-shot percussion cylinder roll marked with naval engagement scene. Iron grip straps and smooth walnut 1-piece grips. CONDITION: Good. Virtually all finishes have turned to worn dove gray patina with some spots of cleaned oxidation. Cylinder scene worn with noticeable portions visible. Grips have some dings and moderate wear, appearing slightly undersize. Shootable bore displays well defined rifling and some oxidation. Indexes correctly. Full or partial matching numbers observed on frame, barrel assembly, loading lever, wedge, cylinder, cylinder arbor, trigger guard, and back strap. BAS
