1862 vintage Colt 1860 Army single action percussion revolver, serial number 54368. 8" round barrel in .44 caliber rifled with Colt New York barrel address, hammer notch rear sight, and German silver blade front. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, wedge, frame, trigger guard, and butt. "H" martial inspector marking at right side of barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, and backstrap near hammer. Condemnation mark on cylinder near serial number signifying that this gun at one point did not fit military standards, but was likely sold to the commercial market. Butt is non-factory marked with the initials "E T". Single piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned a dove-gray patina with light handling and storage marks throughout. Grips are slightly shy to front and backstraps but are overall strong with no major cracks. Hammer screw is a replacement. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
