Matched pair of carbine bore boxlock belt pistols. Matching features include diminutive mushroom front sight, notch rear sight mounted to frame, Lang's Haymarket address across top of octagonal barrels, captured swivel ramrod, Damascus barrels, belt hook (hook on pistol B broken), English style push on safety, sidepanels, vacant shields at wrist, and point-and-wave checkered bag grips with cap in butt for caps. British view and proof marks visible on lower left side of turn off barrels and breech, and marked "0" and "1" on each pistol's lower right barrel and frame. Patent breeches, with barrels visibly ever so slightly off of breeches. Tastefully engraved with florals and bordered geometrics throughout. CONDITION: Very good. Metal has some staining throughout and some very minor spots of oxidation. Belt hook on second pistol is broken at frame. Grips are very good with some bumps and bruises commensurate with use, some checkering heads abraded. Mechanically functional, but push on safeties are gummy and may need to be cleaned to function 100%. Cock on pistol (A) is replaced with a well crafted facsimile, possibly period. Bores are good, smooth, with a minimum of oxidation. A nice pair of large caliber belt pistols. EMW
