Smith and Wesson 1st model Schofield revolver chambered in .45 Smith and Wesson with serial number "2049". Ribbed round barrel with pinned front sight and rear sight notch being the barrel latch. Manufacturer patent stamping on left side of barrel and Schofield's patent stamp on the right. 6 shot fluted cylinder with, knurled hammer, and flat faced single action trigger. Smooth walnut stocks with matching serial number on underside of right stock. Left stock has a worn and unrecognizable cartouche and a figure "8" lightly etched into it. Bottom of grip frame has "US" and "2049" stamped. All matching serial numbers. CONDITION: Good overall with little original bluing remaining. Metal surfaces turning a brown patina. Handling marks and scratches throughout. Small dents on left side of barrel and frame. Semi bright bore with signs of oxidation. Good mechanics. GFP
