1863 vintage Colt Model 1860 Army percussion revolver, serial number 103446. 8" round barrel in .44 caliber with German silver blade front sight, and hammer notch rear. Martial sub-inspector markings on typically seen places such as barrel, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. Cut for shoulder stock. 1 piece walnut grips with faint traces of cartouches on either side. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned a gray-brown patina with scattered handling and storage marks throughout. Rammer screw needs attention as it is partially missing on right side. Trigger guard is a pleasing mellow patina with evidence of light cleaning. Grips are strong, with minor chip at right toe and finish loss on high edges and wear from handling throughout. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TON
