Single Action Army manufactured by Colt in 1893. Barrel is stamped "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" on the left side, with Colt's single line address on the right. Rear of cylinder bears the Rampant Colt logo. Left side of frame bears patent information. Barrel and cylinder have been replaced at one point in time. Metal components are blued, with the hammer being jeweled, and frame is mounted with aftermarket 2-piece pearl grips. The 5 - 1/2" barrel features scroll engraving with a minimalistic punch dot background, with a rudimentary engraving of an eagle present behind the front sight. Frame and grip straps feature matching engraving with the addition of a floral motif on the recoil shield. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light wear around the muzzle as well as some areas of pitting beneath the bluing. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips are very good, as contemporary replacements, exhibiting few scattered marks from handling. MLW
