Serial number 784 Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver manufactured in 1861. 7-1/2" .36 caliber round barrel with New York address, German silver blade front sight, v-notch rear sight cut into hammer, and six shot percussion cylinder. Brass grips straps marked at trigger guard with "36 CAL" designation. Standard oil finished walnut grips. CONDITION: Fair. Gun exhibits a handsome dark gray patina throughout. Brass mellow and taking on a red hue in places. Markings light with cylinder scene obscured. Grips good with handling marks and a larger impression on right side. Dark bore with visible rifling. Cylinder does not advanced when hammer is cocked. Matching numbers observed on frame, barrel assembly, trigger guard, back strap, and cylinder. Wedge is a replacement. BAS
