Colt 1862 Pocket Navy Ejectorless conversion single action revolver, made circa 1873-1880. 3 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .38 Rimfire with cone front sight, 2 line Colt Hartford, CT barrel address, and hammer notch rear. matching serial numbers observed on barrel, cylinder arbor, frame, trigger guard, and butt. Cylinder appears to have been renumbered to match during conversion process. Wedge is numbered 15591. Butt is marked "P". Trigger guard has been over stamped to ".36 CAL" (originally ".31 CAL"). 1 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to a brown patina with freckling and handling marks throughout. Brass is a pleasing mellow patina as cleaned. Grips have chips near junction of trigger guard and backstrap on both sides but are overall strong. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is frosted with abrasion toward muzzle and good rifling. TON
