Colt New Army Model DA 38 revolver manufactured in 1895 and chambered in .38 Long Colt. Blued frame and round barrel with rounded front sight blade, "COLT. D.A. 38" on left side of barrel, and manufacturer patent and address stamped on top. Inspector mark "R.A.C." stamped on frame, cylinder face, underside of barrel, and bottom of stocks. Matching serial numbers on bottom of grips frame, cylinder release, inside cylinder frame and yoke. Bottom of the grip frame is marked "No 66983". Smooth wooden stocks. CONDITION: Fair overall condition with some of the original bluing remaining. Metal finish is turning a light brown and silver patina with signs of handling and scratches especially along barrel. Small signs of oxidation and freckling throughout. Stocks have small scratches and dings. Semi bright bore and good mechanics. GFP
