New York Style percussion half stock rifle of unknown origin and maker circa 1850. 30 -1/2" octagon 48 caliber gain twist rifled barrel with bead front sight and notched rear adjustable sight with barrel marked "WARRANTED INCREASE TWIST", fitted with patent breech and platinum barrel bands. Percussion lock with scroll engraving and double set trigger control. Walnut half stock with German Silver inlays and hardware including a nicely engraved patchbox with dog scene, a soaring bird and standing squirrel. Comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Metal has been polished to a bright shine with wood being cleaned with light handling marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
