A custom bolt rifle chambered for the .375 cartridge by Griffin & Howe built on a Mauser Model 98 action. It has a 24” blued round steel barrel with quarter rib, gold line express rear sights, standing regulated for 50 yards and 2 folding leaf sights regulated for 100 and 200 yards respectively, barrel band hooded bead foresight, and muzzle crown. Top of the barrel is marked "NO 2322 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" while the left side ahead of the receiver is marked "CAL 375". The left side of the receiver towards the center of the receiver is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER-OBERNDORF A/N.". The chamber area of the receiver is engraved with light foliate scrolls. Barrel also with banded sling swivel stud. The action has a jeweled bolt body with a 2-panel checkered bolt handle and a Winchester Model 70 style 3-position safety. The top of the bolt handle have German proof marks. Both the rear of the bolt body and bolt release have the number "77". The action is fit with a jeweled magazine follower, scroll engraved blued steel straddle floorplate with release inside of the blued trigger bow which protects the checkered single trigger. The best quality light reddish-brown walnut stock with nice flowing straight grain is built with a 2-panel sharp checkered pistol grip, blued steel grip cap with engraved screw head, shadow line cheekpiece, single engraved cross bolt 1" Silver's style orange rubber recoil pad, and a swivel stud for sling on buttstock. Forend with matched checkering and ebony forend tip. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel retains 98% original blue. Stock and forend with minor handling marks from storage. CP
