One of 500 made for the 75th anniversary of the Wright brothers historic flight at Kill Devil Hills, December 17th, 1903. Laser engraved on right side with the Wright Flyer and one of the brothers standing off to the side, left side with ribbon reading "AGE of FLIGHT 75th ANNIVERSARY / 1 of 500" in a ribbon; both vignettes flanked by florals. Standard configuration with serrated ramp front sight, flat top square notch rear sight, serrated narrow hammer, thumb safety, slide release, magazine release, and trigger. Long 1911A1 grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing. Fully checkered walnut grips with golden Colt medallions. Housed in a walnut case with a laser engraved plaque that reads "AGE of FLIGHT / 75th ANNIVERSARY / SPECIAL EDITION / 1 of 500" and lined in blue felt, French fitted to the gun. CONDITION: Very good. Nickel has some normal spots of clouding and patina that is common to nickel guns over time but showing very little evidence of actual use. Breech face is very clean, as is rifling, possibly test fired only. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Case is fine. EMW
