Single Action Army revolver manufactured by Colt in 1977 commemorating the completion of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. The left side of the barrel is stamped "TRANS ALASKA PIPELINE: MILEPOST 347 OF 801", with Colt's single line address across the top and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" across the right. Left side of frame bears patent information followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Features include a blue finish, 7 - 1/2" barrel, standard Single Action Army pattern front and rear sights, unfluted cylinder, as well as 2-piece Colt checkered black plastic grips. Grips are hand-scribed "P116" on their interiors, matching the left side of the grip straps. Revolver is accompanied by a commemorative case, displaying a graphic of the state of Alaska with a redline signifying the pipeline as well as two banners marked "1977" and "TRANS-ALASKA PIPELINE". Case is yellow velvet lined and contains a "TRANS-ALASKA PIPELINE" engraved Kershaw knife featuring scenes of wildlife. Knife number match the gun. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting few minor handling marks overall. Base pin shows wear from disassembly. Cylinder bears a light dragline. Mirror bore with strong rifling throughout. Grips are excellent. Case shows heavy external wear from handling and storage, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A nice Colt Single Action Army revolver commemorating the completion of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. MLW
