1903 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 247783. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .38 Winchester Center Fire with blade front sight, 2 line barrel address, and frame notch rear. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt on either side in an oval. Complete with aftermarket wooden case with red velvet interior and 2 wooden blocks fit for 6 cartridges each. Accompanying this lot is a letter confirming that this revolver was owned by firearms collector and legendary country music artist Hank Williams Jr. CONDITON: Excellent+ as expertly restored, with virtually all of the reapplied bluing remaining with light handling marks throughout. Frame retains brilliant case colors. Grips are very good with repaired crack on right grip panel near top. Bore is heavily frosted with abrasion toward muzzle and visible rifling. Box is excellent.
