Lot contains: (A) Luftwaffe 1st Model dagger with a "SMF, Solingen" marked blade with heavy scattered marks, a quarter inch chip from the blade edge missing, and freckling. Blade fittings and grips are in poor condition. Scabbard is missing all if its blue leather covering, with heavy freckling, and overall poor. Attached to the scabbard is a tag from a US veteran (4th Armored Division) stating he picked up this dagger in the fall of 1945 while skiing in Linz, Austria from the wreckage of a German WWII aircraft. CONDITION: Overall poor. (B) Heer dagger with a "WKC, Solingen" marked blade with visible cross graining, light scattered marks, and light freckling to approximately 15%, with what some polishing in the freckled areas. Fittings are in good condition with heavy patina, and trylon grip is excellent. Scabbard retains 60-65% of its finish with freckling over the remaining surface. CONDITION: Overall good. WEZ
