Winchester Model 1894 lever action saddle ring carbine. Made 1904. Two line company address and patent dates on the barrel. Model and trademark on the upper tang. Round, steel barrel with brass blade front sight. Rear sight is a scarce, Winchester carbine express sight, with 3 positions. Correct saddle ring bar and ring. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Wood has a light oil finish, looking to be original. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear, and some areas forming a brown patina. Wood has handling marks, dents and scratches. No visible cracks in the forearm. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
