Colt All American First Edition example of the Model 2000. The Model 2000 was developed by Reed Knight and Eugene Stoner as a "wonder nine" to replace the double action revolvers of the day. Unfortunately, the ergonomics and performance of the pistol left much to be desired and the guns ended production in 1994. Features include aluminum frame instead of polymer frame, 3 dot combat sights, rotating barrel, roller bearer trigger, 2-piece walnut grip panels with Colt medallions, serrated straps. Housed in the correct Colt blue case with paperwork, extra magazine, magazine loader, cleaning brush. Numerous additional parts include 3 barrels, slide, 5 additional magazines, extra magazine loader, pair of grip panels, trigger, recoil spring guide rod, and some internal parts. CONDITION: Pistol retains virtually all of the factory finish and may be new old stock with only some extremely minor marks. Grips are excellent and free of cracks of chips. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Case is fine. Accessory parts are very good and appear to have been taken from a different gun, with evidence of firing and use throughout.
