Early features include half moon front sight instead of later ramp, and early round trigger guard. Other features include flat latch, 5 shot cylinder, checkered case colored service hammer, serrated face case colored trigger. 5 screw with 4 screws on right side of frame and 1 on front of trigger guard. 2-piece checkered walnut grips with central screw and S&W medallions. Right grip with matching serial number marked internally. Tyler T grip style grip adaptor. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the bluing with some silvering to high edges and marks throughout from handling and storage. Cylinder has a minor turn line. Grips are very good, heavily hand rubbed, with a chp on left grip and a crack at bottom of left grip. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. This is a good example of a scarce S&W revolver. EMW
