Top and bottom metal bands. Strong, bright colors. Early image of cowboy fleeing from Native American attackers, stunning image of powerful, highly detailed horse. Advertising Smith & Wesson revolvers. Signed bottom right hand "Dan Smith"; stamped bottom left-hand corner with Smith & Wesson insignia and "Printed in USA". One of the best examples we've seen. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Very nicely framed.
ADDENDUM: Additional information: The original chromolithograph was printed in 1903 from a painting. This lot probably dates to the 1930's. Dan Smith did other work for Smith & Wesson during the period. Prints of this type were distributed to retailers carrying their line.
