Lot consist of: (A) Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle. Made 1961. Standard markings on the left side of the barrel. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear leaf. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Multiple extra holes drilled on the left side of the frame. The normal lever has been replaced with a custom large loop lever. A slam fire device was also added, allowing for the trigger to be engaged when the lever is closed. Wood has a light oil finish. Added blank plaque on the right side of the butt stock. Checkered metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with general wear and some brown patina forming. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Gun is mechanically operable, but buyer should be wary of the modified lever and trigger. (B) Engraved Winchester Model 94 lever action rifle. Made 1956. Standard markings on the left side of the barrel. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Front band is missing a screw. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Receiver has non factory, engraved game scenes on both sides, with additional scroll engraving on the top of the tang. Wood has a light oil finish. Checkered wrist and forearm with a game scene (elk) carved on the right. Checkered metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retinas 80% of its original finish with light wear. The barrel is turning a plum color. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
