Lot consist of: (A) Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle. Made 1904. Two line company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. Trade marks on the top of the tang. Octagon steel barrel with blade front sight and replacement u-notch rear leaf. Full length magazine tube. Metal components have their original finish, forming a heavy brown patina in areas. Wood has a light oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retinas little of its original finish with most areas forming a heavy brown patina. Wood has handling marks, dents and scratches. There are a few chips around the edges of the hand guard. Bore has pitting and frosting. Fair overall rifling retuned. Mechanically fine. (B) Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle. Made 1906. Two line company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. Winchester proofs on the barrel and frame. Trade marks on the top of the tang. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and buckhorn v-notch leaf rear. Metal components have a light reapplied finish. Wood has a light re-applied oil finish. Crescent metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retians little of its finishes with most areas forming a cleaned brown patina. Some areas of cleaned pitting are also visible. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
